Fabian is our web/mobile designer & developer. Coming originally from Germany, he spent the first half of the year 2011 in Ireland at the Cork Institute of Technology – CIT. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt (Germany) with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In August 2012 he moved to Helsinki, to study at Aalto University Master in New Media program. And now, he”s about to move again, as he is joining YourMechanic and therefore moving to the Bay Area. In addition to startups and UI design, Fabian loves crazy technology, pop surrealism and photography.
Who said startups are only for engineers? Tuuti is an artist, journalist and cunrrently an independent writer; interested in everything in the intersection of art, technology and science. Now, she is about to join BetterDoctor to help people find the best doctors for them. She”ll be working mostly on the doctor side of their service. Tuuti has a broad experience in telling stories with tools like writing, video interviews, photography and magazine design. Among others, she is also passionate about literature, visual arts in general, games, health and changing the world.
If you we”re a developer by background, and studied at International Design Business Management AND Media Lab programs at Aalto, would you think you might be Startup Life material? We thought so, and so did guys at Edthena, the education startup in San Francisco, which Eero is joining as a software engineer. Eero enjoys reading, swimming and surfing – and he”s excited to get to more the last one. The rumor has it that the Pacific coast line in California might offer a bit better facilities for that.
Ok, what”s next? Shanghai. We”ve been asked for years what are plans of Startup Life in relation to China, and now we”re getting started as Nelly is joining Rovio”s Shanghai office as a animation producer trainee. She has a study background in New Media at Aalto University, School of Art and Design where she has majored in animation and storytelling. She loves comics and animations and constantly reads and watches everything from student works to feature films from animation studios. Ever since a little kid, she”s have been playing games. Now all her interests are coming together at Rovio, in Shanghai.
Hello Singapore! Olli is taking Startup Life far east operations to whole next level as he”s joining ! Olli has a mix of a business and tech background, with his most recent work experience being from management consulting and running a recruiting agency focused on university students. He will be focusing on the analytical side of marketing and user acquisition once Heroes of Honor goes live.
