Announcing the batch 1/2012 interns of Startup Life

We’re thrilled to announce our second batch of Startup Life interns. Starting their journey in Silicon Valley in a couple of weeks (or even days!) we have a great combination of students from all three Aalto-schools: industrial designers, software engineers, business students, all interning in world-changing startups. You’ll get to know them better as the spring progresses, but here’s a sneak peak to our new, brave bunch of interns.
Ilkka Kelaranta

Ilkka holds a BA in industrial design from Lahti Institute of Design, and is currently studying creative sustainability in Aalto. He’ll be doingindustrial design for a robot company called Anybots. Ilkka is also crazy about motorcycles.

Anne Liiri

Anne is graduating in December 2011 from School of Economics, majoring in Management and Organizations. She will be working in Fremont for Apptivo as a marketing intern, analyzing the competitors and new marketing and sales concepts. Anne’s favourite play: KY-Speksi! Raimo Tuisku

Raimo hails from  Aalto University School of Science and Technology. Just graduated, he’llbe working in Uservoice as a Software Engineer in their software development team.

Jussi Valtonen
 Graduating from Aalto School of Science with a M.Sc in Industrial Engineering and Management. Jussi is going to intern at Eucalyptus focusing on the development and launch of its authorized partner program. His motto is not to believe in giving up.

Hung Dao

Hung studies Service Design Engineering in Aalto University of Technology. He will be interning at Pingpin helping develop awesome webapps. Hung loves graphic novels: checkout his humble little app,, a Youtube for graphic novels. His favorite TV show is Futurama.

Otto Vehviläinen

Otto comes from the department of engineering physics, from Aalto University School of Science.  He’ll  be working at 2bkco as a web developer working on the company’sstill very very hush hush new project. Pekka Hartikainen

Pekka truly is an Aalto-allrounder: graduated from both Helsinki School of Economics and Aalto University School of Art and Design, he also is a student in Aalto University School of Science and Technology. Pekka will be working for Pingpin as Frontend Engineer and UX Designer. His newest hobby is crossfit and he is hoping to continue exercising in SF.
